On June
4, 1953, His Eminence, John F. O'Hara, Archbishop
of Philadelphia, established a new parish under
the patronage of St. Maria Goretti, in Hatfield,
Pennsylvania. Father Thomas Doyle was appointed
founding pastor and he immediately requested the
Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
a community dedicated to the apostolate of education,
to staff his school. |
